New OC - Steve Logan??

Greensville, NC radio is apparently reporting that former East Carolina HC and Berlin Thunder QBs coach and current Rhein Fire OC Steve Logan has been brought on board to run BC's offense. No confirmation yet obviously.

Some info on Logan, who also previously held assistant jobs at Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, and Colorado:

One more thought--it can't hurt our chances of getting the next blue-chip black QB recruit when you can point to an OC who has successfully put two black QBs (Jeff Blake, David Garrard) into the NFL from a mid-major program.

a McNabb-like QB with wheels and a cannon arm would electrify the Heights in a way that hasn't been seen since the Flutie years.

"black QB recruit"??
I don't understand the importance of a black QB.... I would assume Steve Logan can teach any QB, regardless of color.

Gene--I'm not saying it's important from my or from BC's point of view, rather from the recruit's point of view. Whether or not they are correct many believe that there is still a bias against black QBs in the NFL, and a coach who has a proven track record of putting them in the league would be a strong selling point when going after a recruit who feels this way.
